About Us
My name is Jeremy Bligh. I stumbled across the idea for Simply Meeting Rooms purely by chance. In 2008 I opened the countries first ever Garage Conversion Showroom:
This was my primary line of business, and after almost doubling my turnover in year 2 of the business, I decided to expand further by opening a new showroom in a 700 square foot bungalow. My main aim for year 3 was to employ more staff and increase my turnover by another 50%. Unfortunately, due to the credit crunch, although perfectly solid, I realised that my company had prepared for growth that wasn’t likely to happen in the current climate.
I therefore decided to hire out my meeting room. It wasn’t long before I realised that that there was a market for affordable meeting rooms. I was also receiving offers from other business owners asking whether or not I could get bookings for them, and due to the fact I had more bookings than I could possible handle this seemed to be a good way forward.
We have now grown the business and offer over 6,000 meeting rooms across the UK.
